Cyncoed Ladies produced a stunning result in the Welsh Premier Women's League on Sunday when beating reigning Champions Cardiff Met Ladies 4-1.
Met went into the local derby with an unbeaten record in the league but found themselves behind midway through the first half when Chloe Griffiths scored and a Steph Turner own goal doubled Cyncoed's advantage before half time. Clare Daley made it three with twenty minutes remaining and despite Georgie Malpas pulling a goal back for Met, Daley struck again to complete one the best results in her side's history, one which takes Cyncoed into the top half of the table.
In the other game, third placed Cardiff City FC battled out a 1-1 draw with Aberystwyth Town. Both goals came in the five minute spell leading up to half time, Danielle Broadhurst giving City the lead and Aber replied through Amy Jenkins, sealing a well earned point for her side.
