Tottenham Hotspur are back on top of the Southern Division following their 4-0 victory away to Swindon Town.
The first half was goalless but quickfire goals in succession from Bianca Baptiste and Renee Hector put Spurs two ahead and they went on to crown the win with further strikes from Nikita Whinnett and Kelley Blanchflower.
Spurs have a lead of two points over Charlton Athletic who regained second place by beating Portsmouth 4-2. Charley Clifford's early goal for the Addicks was cancelled out by Samantha Quayle and the scores remained level at half time. Kit Graham put Charlton back in front midway through the second half and they went on to add further goals through Charlotte Lee and Clifford again, before Sarah Kempson reduced the arrears for Pompey in injury time.
Queen's Park Rangers played host to West Ham Utd in a vital match at the foot of the table and it resulted in a 1-1 draw. Both goals came early in the game, Julie Melfald putting the Hammers in front before Rangers hit back through Jenny Critchley for their second point of the season.
