Leicester City Women were given a scare by Keynsham Town before eventually sealing their place in the semi finals of the Premier League Plate with a 3-2 victory after extra time.
Sophie Domingo netted twice to give Leicester a two-goal lead but Keynsham came battling back and pulled one back through Stacey Pearson, before Alys Hinchcliffe then sent the game into the extra period. Shauna Cossens scored what proved to be the decisive goal but Keynsham were left to rue a late missed chance by Geovana Alves which would have taken the game to a penalty shootout.
Huddersfield Town had a much smoother passage as they scored seven times without reply away to Tranmere Rovers. Emily Heckler, Kate Mallin and Danielle Biglin ensured that Town led by three goals at the break and in the second half, Heckler went on to complete a hat-trick and Mallin a brace, with Katie Nutter joining them on the scoresheet.
Actonians Ladies are only one step away from a first major Final following a 3-0 victory over Radcliffe Olympic. Carla Williams netted two of the goals and Melissa Jung was also on target for the South East Division One side.
The other quarter final tie between Luton Town and Lewes fell victim to the weather.
