Blackburn Rovers are back on top of the Northern Division on goal difference after putting an end to Leicester City Women's excellent home record.
Leicester had been unbeaten at home since the league adopted its new format in 2014, a total of 25 matches, but Blackburn brought the run to a crashing end with a 4-0 victory. Saffron Jordan was Rovers' destroyer-in-chief as she bagged a hat-trick, after Lynda Shepherd had put them in front on the half hour. Blackburn therefore move back above Middlesbrough and have four games in hand on their Teesside rivals.
Bradford City meanwhile ascended into third place on the back of a 5-1 success away to Newcastle Utd. Hannah Campbell put Bradford in front with two minutes on the clock with Nicole Dack scoring a spectacular equaliser for the Magpies, before Charlotte Stuart restored City's lead on the stroke of half time. Jessica Graham netted a third before Stuart added two more in the last fifteen minutes to seal her hat-trick.
These were the only two Northern Division matches to beat the weather and all games in the Southern Division were postponed.
