Abergavenny Women and Cardiff Met Ladies will meet in this season's Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League Cup Final after winning their respective semi finals on Sunday. Cardiff Met were up against league leaders Swansea City for the second week in succession, the Swans having won their league meeting, and this was to prove another close affair. Jodie Passmore gave Swansea a 20th minute lead, with Lauren Townsend equalising on her debut shortly afterwards, and the teams could not be separated for the rest of the game, meaning that extra time was needed. The first period of extra time was goalless, but two goals in a three minute spell from Lois Regan and Jassie Vasconcelos secured a 3-1 victory for Met and revenge for their league defeat the previous week. Abergavenny meanwhile had what turned out to be a smoother passage as they defeated Port Talbot Town 4-0 to reach the Final for the third year in a row. Abergavenny led at half time through a goal from Lyndsey Davies and in the second half, Ceri Hudson, Katie Adams and Alana Murphy all scored in a six minute spell to wrap up the win.
