Notts County Ladies FC are delighted to announce the signing of Republic of Ireland international Louise Quinn, subject to international clearance.
The six foot tall centre back joins Notts having spent four seasons in the Swedish league with Eskilstuna United, where Louise captained the team.
The 26-year-old impressed whilst with the Swedish club, as they won promotion to the Elitettan before finishing runners-up in their second season in the division, qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League. Louise's strong character and consistent performances lead to her being named captain of Eskilstuna in her fourth season with the club.
Internationally, Louise has already amassed 51 caps for the Republic of Ireland, using her commanding aerial presence to net eight goals in this time. The defender will be looking to add to these stats at the 2017 Cyprus Cup as Louise is named in new manager Colin Bell's first squad.
On joining the Lady Pies, Louise said: "I'm really excited to have signed for Notts, it's a great club with lots of history. I'm just really looking forward to the season ahead, to get on the pitch and challenge myself as a player, and hopefully help contribute to the team as much as I can."
Manager Rick Passmoor added: "Louise brings with her a wealth of experience, including Champions League football, which will be of a great benefit to the squad. She also adds a different element to the team with the height Louise brings to our defence, which will not only help with the defending, but will also make us even more threatening in the opposition's box."
