Addicks to meet Spurs
 Women's Football WPL South News - 9 Mar 2017
The last two winners of the Premier League Cup, Charlton Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur, will meet in this year's Final following two hard fought semi final ties on Sunday.
Charlton edged past Blackburn Rovers 4-3 in a thrilling tie after extra time, strike duo Kit Graham and Gemma Shepherd having put them two goals ahead before Rovers fought back with Saffron Jordan and Lynda Shepherd taking the game to an extra period. Stef Simmons then netted twice and this proved to be just enough for the Addicks, Jordan did pull a goal back but Blackburn were to suffer semi final heartache for the second season in a row (see match report).
Tottenham Hotspur were up against Cardiff City Ladies in a repeat of last season's Final and Cup holders Spurs were to triumph once again. Wendy Martin, Leah Rawle and Nikita Whinnett scored the goals to give Tottenham a 3-0 victory and set up an all-London cup final.
