League leaders Swansea City returned to league action on Sunday and came back with a victory, beating Aberystwyth Town 3-0.
Jodie Passmore gave the Swans the lead just after the quarter hour and Stacey Webber quickly added a second. Katy Hosford wrapped up the win for Swansea with the final goal, two minutes from time. The win means that Swansea retain their six point lead at the top of the table.
Cardiff Met Ladies are keeping up the chase in second place, thanks to a 5-2 victory over Rhyl Ladies. Lauren Townsend opened the scoring midway through the first half and Erin Murray added a brace of goals leading up to half time. Jassie Vasconcelos made it four early in the second half before Murray completed her hat-trick. Rhyl did not give up and gave the scoreline more respectability by pulling goals back through Rachel Lloyd and Joy Jamieson.
Cardiff City FC meanwhile got back to winning way with a 3-1 success away to Llandudno Ladies, a result which takes them back into the top three places. Lauren Lyons gave City a ninth minute lead, with Rosie Hughes levelling the scores for Llandudno leading up to half time. Lyons restored City's advantage with her second goal, early in the second half, with Danielle Green going on to seal the points for her side.
One other match was meant to take place on Sunday with Port Talbot Town playing host to Cyncoed Ladies but the game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
