Ten in a row Scottish Champions, Glasgow City this week launched its new away kit, a kit with a message.
Not only have the club moved to a brand new colour with new kit partners Joma for their away kit for 2017 of purple and white, the kit also features a message on the back of every player's strip - You Can't Be What You Can't See.
The message is with regards to the coverage of our female sports stars and role models. Scotland has endless female sporting role models to inspire our future generation of women to be active, healthy and to work hard to achieve their dreams, but these role models are not as visible as they could be.
Statistics show the huge disparity in coverage of women's sport in the media and unsurprisingly therefore the commercial investment in women's sport is frighteningly less than that for men. (Women's sport sponsorship accounted for only 0.4% of total sports sponsorship between 2011 and 2013).
The Glasgow City away kit launch highlights the stats:
Women's Sport makes up 7% of all sports media coverage in the UK
Just over 10% of televised sports coverage is dedicated to women's sport
2% of national newspaper sports coverage is dedicated to women's sport
5% of radio sports coverage is dedicated to women's sport
4% of online sports coverage is dedicated to women's sport
