Hibernian continue to set the early pace in SWPL 1 after they defeated Hamilton Academical 6-0 to record their third straight win.
Rachael Small gave Hibs a first half lead and Abigail Harrison added a second, with Lucy Graham and Amy Gallacher also getting on the scoresheet. Small netted her second after the break and Siobhan Hunter rounded off the scoring late on.
Glasgow City stay in second place following their 3-0 victory away to Aberdeen. Leanne Ross broke the deadlock via a free kick just before half time and the Scotland international turned provider for both of City's second half goals, which were converted by Noelle Murray and Savannah McCarthy.
Spartans now occupy third place after they won 3-1 against Rangers. Colette Cavanagh put them ahead with two minutes on the clock and Zoe Johnstone quickly added a second. Amy Muir fired home a free kick to reduce the arrears for Rangers but with twelve minutes remaining, Carla Boyce sealed the points for Spartans when scoring from a corner.
Celtic meanwhile completed a trio of clubs on seven points with a 2-1 victory over Stirling University at Celtic Park. Celtic led at half time through a goal from Natalie Ross and Jaclyn Poucel doubled their advantage on the other side of half time. Michelle Russell gave Stirling renewed hope when she pulled a goal back but Celtic saw the game out to keep up their good start to the season.
