Coventry Utd are virtually certain of finishing as runners-up in the Southern Division after winning 2-1 away to fellow contenders Cardiff City Ladies. Alison Hall and Amber Hughes scored the goals for Coventry with Chloe Chivers replying for Cardiff, who are no longer able to take a top two place. Lewes leapfrogged C & K Basildon into sixth place following a 2-0 victory in their meeting. Sian Heather gave the Rookettes the lead on the stroke of half time, with Georgia Bridges netting just before the hour to wrap up the win. Portsmouth arrested their recent worrying run of eight defeats in nine matches by beating Queen's Park Rangers 3-2 at Fratton Park. Samantha Quayle netted twice and Natasha Stephens the other for Pompey, with Rangers replying through Nikki Waterman and Sara Ezzahiri.
