Forfar Farmington extended their lead at the top of SWPL 2 to three points by running out 5-0 winners over Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale.
Forfar led at the interval through a goal from Cheryl Kilcoyne and they doubled their advantage shortly after the restart through Robyn Smith. Julia Scott, Kayleigh Noble and Megan McCarthy went on to add further goals to crown the victory and maintain their side's fast start to the season.
Hearts meanwhile leapfrogged Glasgow Girls into second place after winning their meeting 4-1. Rachel Walkingshaw netted two early goals for Hearts and Kara Kidd ensured that they led by three going into half time. After the break, Ashley Carse netted their fourth just before the hour mark, with Lauren Evans grabbing a consolation for the home side. Motherwell moved into the top half of the table for the first time this season as they claimed their third victory in a row, 4-1 against Buchan Ladies. Jeanfield Swifts meanwhile defeated East Fife 3-0, Eilidh McIntyre netting twice with Jade McDonald adding the third.
