In the only match played in the league on Sunday, Peterborough Northern Star stepped up their challenge to finish as runners-up in the Premier Division after they won 4-0 away to Rise Park. Louise Barbour (2), Leah Barnes and Cassie Steward were all on the scoresheet for Northern Star who need to beat newly crowned Champions Sheffield Utd in their final game to stand any realistic chance of pipping Bedworth Utd to second place.

Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 win over Malet Lambert secured the Southern Division runners-up spot and a promotion play-off match at York this Sunday against Hartlepool Utd who finished in second place in the Northern Division. Stacey Buxton and Michelle Wakelin were the Wednesday scorers as they joined champions Farsley Celtic in completing their home fixtures unbeaten, Natalie Nelson replying for Malet.

Southern Region League
There was other action in the league apart from the Cup Finals on Sunday, with two matches taking place in Division One. Oxford City Nomads and Woodley Utd battled out a 2-2 draw, Rosie Page-Smith scoring both goals for Woodley. Winchester City Flyers meanwhile ran out 3-0 winners away to Fleet Town, Francesca Thornton netting twice along with Angelique Morley.
