Following a complete refurbishment of the Stadium, Clubhouse and installation of a new FIFA PRO50 3G pitch at Court Place Farm, Oxford Football Partnership's Stadium Manager Frank Thompson is ready to welcome Oxford United Women to the facility.
Thompson stated: "A lot of hard work and planning has gone into this project over a long period of time which has now come to fruition, creating one of the best football facilities in the home counties.
"With the current focus very much on women's football, this will be a great boost for the Girls and Ladies teams playing here.
"We hope that all sides benefit from the playing surface and have a successful season."
The yellows move from their previous ground Abingdon United FC to their new home Oxford City FC. Ruth Senior, Women's general manager, said: "We'd firstly like to thank Abingdon United FC for all their hard work and support over the years. John and Debbie Blackmore and their family have done so much for the team and without their support, we wouldn't be here today.
"The move to Oxford City FC marks an exciting new chapter for the women's Team. As a team, we are grateful for all the continuing support our board has given us over the past few months, allowing us to play at a top class facility. It also brings us a step closer to sustainability and provides some unique opportunities to improve our fan engagement and match day experience.
"We are delighted to partner with Oxford City FC, who have such a rich history of women's football, and look forward to working together to increase the profile of female football in Oxfordshire. I'd personally like to thank the staff at Oxford City for making us feel so welcome over the first couple of weeks during pre-season."
