Huddersfield Town kept up their impressive start to the new season with a 6-0 victory over Guiseley Vixens, which sees them remain on top of the fledgling Northern Division table. Kate Mallin made sure of giving Town a flying start to the game by giving them a fourth minute lead and Emily Heckler netted a quickfire double midway through the first half. Substitute Hannah Campbell also contributed a brace after the break, either side of a goal from Danielle Whitham. Champions Blackburn Rovers stay in second place after they won 2-0 away to West Bromwich Albion. Alex Taylor put Rovers ahead with eight minutes on the clock and Saffron Jordan wrapped up the points with the second, just ahead of the hour. Leicester City Women are the third team with maximum points from two matches, following their 3-1 success at Stoke City. An own goal gave Stoke an early lead which they held until the last twelve minutes of the game, but two goals in a three minute spell from Rosie Axten turned the match around in Leicester's favour and Sophie Domingo made the points safe with the third. Nottingham Forest occupy fourth place and are still unbeaten after they battled out a goalless draw with Bradford City, who registered their first point of the season as a result. Wolverhampton Wanderers and Middlesbrough produced a thrilling match at Hednesford which ended 4-3 in favour of 'Boro. Jade Cross gave Wolves an early lead which was quickly cancelled out by Anna Birtwhistle but Wolves were back in front on the stroke of half time thanks to Jen Anslow. Middlesbrough battled back after the break and goals from Emily Scarr and Bianca Owens put them ahead for the first time and although Anslow levelled matters again with her second goal, 'Boro were to have the final say and a bizarre goal from long range by Emma Foster proved to be decisive with two minutes remaining.
