Hibernian have gone out of the UEFA Women's Champions League by a narrow margin after drawing 1-1 with Olimpia Cruj in their final game.
Following an opening victory over Swansea City and a draw with WFC-2 Kharkiv, Hibs needed to beat the group hosts in their final game to reach the knockout stages for the second year in succession.
However the match got off to the worst possible start as Alexandra Lunca gave Olimpia Cluj the lead with just five minutes on the clock. Cluj took their lead into the interval but after the break, Hibernian made a great effort to get back into the game with Kirsty Smith and Abigail Harrison both going close.
With six minutes to go, Lucy Graham gave Hibernian renewed hope when she headed in the equaliser but they were unable to get the second goal they needed in order to go through and frustratingly exit the competition having not lost a game.
Swansea City's campaign came to a disappointing end as they were beaten 9-0 by Kharkiv in their final match, meaning that they go out of what turned out to be a very tough group with defeats in each of their three matches.
