East Midlands League
Ollerton Town ran out 7-0 winners over Mansfield Hosiery Mills in the only Premier Division match to be played on Sunday. Natalie Gibson and Megan Howard netted two goals apiece and they were joined on the scoresheet by Holly Jennings, Amy White and Lucy Smith.
Sleaford Town were 3-1 victors away to Arnold Town Development in Division One North, Jade Baker, Amy Kilgannon and Abigail Harmston scoring their goals with Katie Garfoot replying. Chloe Scott and Jody Scott each netted doubles as Woodlands Ladies won 4-3 at Hykeham Town, for whom Millie Seaton hit a hat-trick but finished up on the losing side. Draycott Victoria meanwhile defeated newly promoted Clifton 2-1 thanks to Natalie Ennis and Lucy Ferris, with Clifton's consolation coming from Kirsty Allen.
Northampton Town have got off to a strong start in Division One South, beating Desford 9-1. Emma Dunmore, Georgina Powell and Francesca Speck each scored twice and there was one each from Kellie Billenness, Naomi Dauncey and Leah Stacey. Joanne Ross meanwhile bagged a hat-trick for Corby S & L as they edged out Loughborough Foxes Vixens 3-2.
Eastern Region League
Cambridge Utd Res have moved to the top of the fledgling Division One North table, after a goal from Natalie Wells gave them a 1-0 win over Ipswich Wanderers in the only match played.
In Division One South, Stevenage Ladies Res opened up their campaign by scoring ten times without reply against Hoddesdon Town Owls. Becky Day led the scoring with a hat-trick, supported by braces from Holly Darling, Hannah Marshall and Daniela Martucci, with Emily Schofield completing the tally.
North East League
The new season opened up with the First Round in the League Cup and Durham Cestria came through a tricky tie away to league newcomers York RI with a 3-2 victory. Durham went into a three-goal lead at half time thanks to Kristiana Hamilton, Hannah Greenwood and Molly Holder but they needed to withstand a second half fightback from the home side, who managed to pull two goals back through Jodie Langstaff and Tehillah Ndhlovu. York City also progressed with a 1-0 win over Boro Rangers, Kayleigh Davis scoring the only goal of the game. Stephanie Curry scored a hat-trick for Consett Ladies in their 3-0 victory over Cramlington Utd and Harrogate Railway edged past Doncaster Belles (Women's) by the odd goal in five after extra time, courtesy of a hat-trick from Emma Lansdall with Ellie Todd and Abbie France replying.
North West League
Sir Tom Finney have made a promising start in the Premier Division following promotion at the end of last season, winning 3-0 away to CMB Ladies in their opening game. The other game played was an all-Merseyside affair which went the way of MSB Woolton, who defeated Tranmere Rovers 4-2.
Bury FC Women recorded the biggest victory on the opening day in Division One North, 5-2 against Morecambe Res. Bolton Wanderers Res were 3-2 winners away to Burscough Dynamo and Leigh RMI beat Preston North End 2-1, with Kendal Town and Cammell Laird sharing a 2-2 draw.
Northwich Vixens won 5-1 at City of Liverpool to be the first day leaders in Division One South. Curzon Ashton defeated Crewe Alexandra Development 3-0 and the other winners on the day were Stockport County Blues, 4-2 against Liverpool Marshalls Feds Res.
South West League
In the only match to be played in the Premier Division, Bishop's Lydeard opened up with a 3-0 victory over Forest Green Rovers. Holly Miller, Sarah Pearce and Emily Syme were all on target for Lydeard.
The other league action to take place was in the Western Division, Alphington getting off to a flying start as they scored nine times without reply past Activate. Mary Murphy led the scoring with a hat-trick, Catherine Wright weighed in with a brace, and there was one apiece from Kirsty Brown, Laura Burwood, Zoe Shellie and Sophie-Louise Simpson. Two of the league's newcomers met each other at Bideford Town where it was visitors Plymouth Argyle Res who took the points with a 4-0 win. Zoe Cunningham was on target twice for Argyle along with Faye Ivall and Clare Ostle.
Southern Region League
Barton Rovers narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier Division last season and they have started out this time with a victory in the solitary match played in Division One North. An own goal on the hour mark gave Barton the points and a 1-0 win against Wycombe Wanderers.
West Midlands League
Atherstone Rangers have got off to a good start in Division One North, winning 7-2 against Florence. They were the day's only winners on the day in the division, as the other match between Tamworth and Bilbrook finished level at 2-2.
Similarly in Division One South, Droitwich Spa defeated Coventry Development 5-0 whilst the other match also ended 2-2, newly promoted Kidderminster Harriers and Stourbridge sharing the spoils.
