Charlton take up pace
 Women's Football WPL South News - 19 Sep 2017
Charlton Athletic have hit top spot in the Southern Division for the first time this season after running out 7-0 winners over Queen's Park Rangers.
The Addicks led at the break through a solitary goal from Kim Dixson but in the second half, Kit Graham netted a brace and she was joined on the scoresheet by Charlotte Gurr, Ellie Dorey, Katie Flack and Hope Nash.
Crystal Palace remain unbeaten and are in second place, two points off the pace, after being held to a goalless draw by Coventry Utd who are back on track after two narrow defeats.
Gillingham complete the top three following their 5-0 success against Swindon Town, who are still looking for their first goal and points. Kallie Balfour kept up her good start to the season by scoring a hat-trick, and also on target for the Gills were Jenny Newman and Jade Keogh.
Lewes are steadily climbing the table and have moved into the top half with a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth. A tight match was settled with just two minutes remaining, when Rebecca Carter netted the only goal of the game for the Rookettes.
Chichester City are another team whose results are improving and they made it two wins in a row when beating West Ham Utd 4-0. Charley Wilson-Blakely bagged herself another two goals and Chi's other markswomen were Cherelle Khassel and Jade Widdows.
