Cardiff Met Ladies have a lead of three points at the top of the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League after they won 4-1 away to local rivals Cardiff City FC. The teams went into the game as two of the five teams who were level on points at the top but Ellie Walker-Smith put the Archers in front with eleven minutes on the clock, before Monique Fischer and Naomi Clipston added further goals ahead of half time. Shannon Evans raised hopes for City when she pulled a goal back after the break but Jasmine Simpson made the points safe for Met with five minutes remaining. A win would have kept Port Talbot Town level on points with Cardiff Met and moved them up to second but instead they went down to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Llandudno Ladies, who recorded their second victory of the season. Kelsey Davies gave Llandudno the lead midway through the first half and after the interval, two strikes from Louisha Doran wrapped up the result for her side. There are still five teams level on points, queued behind Met, as these have been joined by Abergavenny Women who defeated Caldicot Town 4-0. Lyndsey Davies bagged a first half brace, with a goal from Amy Thrupp sandwiched inbetween, to ensure that Aber led by three goals at half time before Maxine Mudge rounded off the scoring on the hour. Caernarfon Town and Rhyl Ladies met each other in a North Wales derby match and it was Rhyl who returned home with the points and a 2-0 victory. The two goals came ten minutes either side of half time, Ashley Mills opening the scoring for the Lilywhites and Emily Jones secured the points when she netted the second.
