Loughborough Foxes led the surprises in the Premier League Cup with a 2-0 victory over Northern Division leaders Middlesbrough.
Both goals came in the first half, Lindsey Tugby giving the Foxes the lead and Charlotte Cooper netting the second to wrap up a fine result for the Midlands Division One table toppers.
Ipswich Town were another team to eliminate higher division opposition when they won 1-0 against C & K Basildon. Zoe Cossey lobbed home the only goal of the game for Ipswich to give them their fifth win in a row in all competitions.
The tie between Derby County and Bradford City shaped up to be a close one ahead of kick off and this is how it turned out, going to extra time before Derby emerged as 5-2 winners. Andi Bell turned out to be Derby's heroine as, after grabbing an injury time equaliser to take the game into the extra period, she netted twice more to seal a hat-trick on the day, with further goals from Sophia Bonser and Karagh Tait. Bradford had been two goals ahead through Ellie Olds and Ellie White and looked set to progress before the Ewe Rams' late, late fightback.
Coventry Utd came away from Stevenage Ladies with a 2-0 victory under their belts. Alison Hall gave Coventry the lead in the eleventh minute, with Helen Dermody adding the second just after half time.
