Scarr wounds Forest with hat-trick
 Women's Football WPL North News - 1 Nov 2017
After defeats in their previous two matches in league and cup, Middlesbrough got back to form with a stunning 5-1 victory away to Nottingham Forest.
Emily Scarr's early strike for 'Boro was cancelled out by Samantha Conroy but Emma Foster and Bianca Owens ensured that the visitors were two goals ahead at the break. In the second half, Scarr netted twice more to complete her hat-trick and help her team stretch their lead at the top to five points.
Stoke City meanwhile became the first team to take points off second placed Blackburn Rovers this season when holding them to a 1-1 draw. The two sides met in the League Cup two weeks earlier and went all the way to penalties, and this match turned out to be just as tight with Emily Owen on target for Stoke and Blackburn replying through Kaylea Cunliffe.
