Charlton Athletic put two successive defeats behind them to win 2-0 against Coventry Utd and maintain their lead of four points at the top of the Southern Division.
Both goals came during the first half, Charlotte Gurr putting the Addicks in front with Kit Graham adding the second on the stroke of half time (see match report).
Lewes are keeping up the chase in second place after a 3-2 victory away to Cardiff City Ladies. Georgia Bridges scored the winning goal with ten minutes remaining to add to an earlier double strike from Kelly Newton, while Chloe O'Connar and Cori Williams were on target for the home side.
C & K Basildon meanwhile defeated Swindon Town 3-0 to stay in third place. Angela Addison, April Bowers and Therese Addison netted the goals to earn the Essex side their third win in a row.
Crystal Palace also kept themselves in contention by winning 1-0 away to Gillingham. Gemma Bryan settled matters in the fourteenth minute by scoring the only goal of the game, her sixteenth in the league this season.
Queen's Park Rangers picked up a valuable point from a 1-1 draw against Chichester City. Amanda Chimbima put Rangers in front with only two minutes on the clock, a lead they held until five minutes from time when Gemma Simmonds earned Chichester a share of the spoils.
