Northern Division One
Barnsley caused a surprise when they became the first team to beat Morecambe in a league match this season. A win would almost certainly have taken Morecambe into the top three, but goals from Drew Greene, Abby Parkin and Demi Pringle handed Barnsley a 3-1 victory, with Emma Kay replying.
Mossley Hill meanwhile broke their league duck for the season when they defeated Leeds Utd 2-1. After Rebecca Hunt had given Leeds a second minute lead, two goals from Amy Hughes in a four minute spell during the second half saw Mossley get off the mark and narrow the gap on their opponents to three points.
Midlands Division One
Burton Albion made up ground on the leading sides and entered the top three when they won 3-1 away to Birmingham & West Midlands Ladies. Jordan Atkin netted twice and Yasmin Harris the other for Burton, while the home side's consolation came from Katy Kirby.
Radcliffe Olympic made it six wins in seven matches when beating Leicester City Ladies 5-1. Rania Ramadan, Beth Bailey, Alice Kempski, Ellie Readman and Georgia Gladwin all scored a goal apiece for Radcliffe, who are now fifth, with Bayleigh Newby replying.
Rotherham Utd recorded their first victory following eight straight defeats, a notable 3-1 success against top half side Solihull Moors. Phoebe Hallam, Kirsty Richardson and Sarah Saxon were all on target for Rotherham, Solihull's solitary strike was scored by Claire Lester.
South East Division One
FA Cup ties and postponements meant that only one match went ahead in the division on Sunday, Denham Utd and Actonians Ladies battling out a goalless draw. It is the fifth drawn match involving Denham this season whilst in contrast, Actonians had shared the spoils for the first time.
No matches were played in South West Division One on Sunday.
