Brighouse go five clear
 Women's Football WPL Division 1 North News - 24 Nov 2017

Northern Division One
Brighouse Town extended their lead to five points after beating Chorley 2-1. The Lancashire side went into the match in good form and took the lead midway through the second half with a goal from Megan Fisher, but Zoe Doherty equalised a minute lead and Jodie Redgrave grabbed a precious winner for Brighouse in injury time.

Barnsley are up into the top half of the table following their 3-1 victory against Chester-le-Street Town. The two teams went into the game level on points but strikes from Drew Greene, Demi Pringle and Anna Cairns handed Barnsley the win, with Maddy Atkinson replying.

Crewe Alexandra meanwhile inflicted a second successive defeat on Morecambe, a 4-2 success which lifts them into mid-table. Laura Garner netted a first half brace and Amanda Fallon the other, with Hannah Paling and Yasmine Swarbrick on target for the home side, before Michelle Saunders clinched the points for Crewe with ten minutes remaining.

Midlands Division One
Only one match was played in the division on Sunday and it saw TNS Ladies move to within a single point of leaders Loughborough Foxes after beating Rotherham Utd 4-1. Emily Ridge netted twice and Phoebe Davies the other to put TNS three goals up at half time and Kim Bebbington added the final goal, with Rotherham's consolation coming from Bryher Taylor.

South East Division One
Luton Town climbed up to fifth place and are only five points off the pace following their 3-2 win away to Actonians Ladies. Zara Carroll, Dionne Manning and an own goal gave Luton the victory, while Alessandra Barreca and Carla Williams replied for the home side.

South West Division One
In the solitary match played in the division, fifth placed Poole Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Maidenhead Utd. Faye Rolfe-Hawkins put Poole in front in the opening minute, however a goal in each half by Olivia Buzaglo gave the Berkshire the lead, before Jemma Tewkesbury salvaged a point for Poole when she equalised just before the hour.
