Met win top table clash
Women's Football Wales Premier League News - 30 Nov 2017
Cardiff Met Ladies staged a late fightback to win 2-1 away to Swansea City and strengthen their position at the top of the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League.
The only match to be played in the league on Sunday was the top of the table clash between the last two clubs to win the league and the two teams still sporting 100% records going into the match.
The first half ended goalless but with twenty minutes remaining, Swansea looked to have taken a grip on the game when Kelly Newcombe gave the lead. However in the last seven minutes, the Archers were to stun the home side as first Steph Turner levelled the scores and then Jasmine Simpson slotted home the winning goal from the penalty spot.
The result leaves Met six points clear at the top of the table, having played one more game than the Swans.
