Plymouth Argyle have continued their magnificent season to date with a notable 2-1 victory away to Cardiff City Ladies in the Premier League Cup.
The home side have an excellent record in the competition in recent seasons but despite a goal from leading scorer Cori Williams, Becky Atkins and Natasha Knapman both scored to take Argyle into the quarter finals.
Leicester City Women are through to the last eight after winning 3-1 against Loughborough Foxes. Sophie Domingo gave Leicester a first half lead and although Rebecca Knight equalised after the break, Paige Stewart and Rosie Axten added further goals to take Leicester through a tricky tie.
Birmingham & West Midlands Ladies booked their place in the quarter finals of the Premier League Plate by beating Crewe Alexandra 3-1. Amy Eastwood, Charlotte Fisher and Harriet Shaw-Roberts scored their goals, with the visitors' consolation coming from Meg Booth.
Chorley meanwhile came away from Long Eaton Utd with a 2-0 victory under their belts. Rachel Wood gave them the lead midway through the first half, with Scarlett Smith sealing the win by netting the second, just after the hour mark.
