The WSL 1 top of the table clash between Chelsea and Manchester City finished in a goalless draw at Kingsmeadow.
Manchester City therefore remain two points ahead of Chelsea at the top of the table, whilst both sides retain their unbeaten records.
The game was overshadowed in the opening minutes when City goalkeeper Karen Bardsley was stretchered off with what appeared to be a serious shoulder injury following an accidental collision with Drew Spence.
After a lengthy delay, she was replaced by Ellie Roebuck and the youngster gave a fine performance to keep a clean sheet for her side.
Chances were at a premium in the first half, Roebuck saving well from Ramona Bachmann whilst at the other end, City's best effort came as Nikita Parris burst down the right and her shot was saved by Hedvig Lindahl.
After the break, Chelsea pressed hard for a possible winner but City defended stoutly under the pressure with Jennifer Beattie having a fine game in the centre.
Bachmann was in lively form for Chelsea and she had a shot deflected over by Jill Scott, whilst Fran Kirby drilled an angled shot just wide and Roebuck made an excellent save to deny Spence after she had been played in Bachmann.
