Glasgow City stay on top of the Scottish Building Society SWPL 1 table after a 4-1 win over Spartans in Edinburgh.
Goals from Abbi Grant and Kirsty Howat gave City the lead at the break, before Grant added a third on 55 minutes to net her 50th goal for the club. An own goal from City defender Megan Foley soon after - ending their run of clean sheets in the league which stretched back to last May - gave Spartans a lifeline, but Howat got on the scoresheet again with six minutes remaining to make it a comfortable scoreline in the end for the reigning Champions.
Hibernian also made it three wins out of three with a hard earned 2-1 success away to Rangers. Lia Tweedie headed Hibs into an early lead and after Jade Gallon had equalised early in the second half, Katey Turner scored a decisive second to keep up her side's winning start.
Another team who have begun the season well are Celtic who stay two points off the pace following their 2-0 victory at Forfar Farmington. The first half was goalless but Claire Adams broke the deadlock for the Hoops on the hour and Kelly Clark wrapped up the points with the second, completing a hat-trick of away wins in the top flight.
The other match between Stirling University and Hamilton Academical was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
