Late goals benefit Durham
 Women's Football WSL2 News - 15 Mar 2018
One match was played in the FA WSL in the past week and it saw Durham Women move back into third place in the WSL 2 table after winning 3-1 away to Aston Villa.
There was a nice touch from the home side before the match as the Villa players, instead of taking to the field with mascots as usual, were escorted by their mums and role models to mark Mothers Day.
Beth Hepple continued her great form this season by giving Durham the lead on the stroke of half time but Villa battled back well in the second half, and looked to have earned themselves a point when Alice Hassell equalised from the penalty spot. However, there was to be a sting in the tail for Villa and as the game entered injury time, Zoe Ness put the Wildcats back in front with a superb strike from the edge of the area. Moments later, Ness turned provider as Durham sealed the win with a third, playing in Emily Roberts who rounded Sian Rogers to slot home for an important result for her side.
