Women's Football Wales Premier League News - 16 Mar 2018
With two teams involved in the semi finals of the FAW Women's Cup, and the weather accounting for two other fixtures, just the one match managed to go ahead in the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League on Sunday but it produced one of the most notable results of the season so far.
Abergavenny Women played host to Cardiff Met Ladies and became the first team to record a victory over the runaway leaders this season, beating them 1-0.
The only goal of the game came five minutes before the interval, Maxine Mudge scoring to earn her team a result which takes them back up into fourth and boosts their chances of finishing in the top two, currently lying three points behind second placed Swansea City with a game in hand.
