Chelsea are the only team through to the semi finals of the SSE Women's FA Cup after winning 3-0 away to Liverpool in the only tie to beat the weather on the weekend.
The pitch at Prescot Cables FC passed a morning inspection and, in freezing cold conditions, Liverpool started the brighter of the two sides in the early stages. However as the game reached the 21st minute, it was Chelsea who struck first. Ramona Bachmann's pass picked out Drew Spence on the left, where she drilled in a low cross which picked out Jonna Anderson who fired home.
Caroline Weir forced Carly Telford into making a save from a long range effort but Chelsea once again struck on the stroke of half time, Katie Chapman heading in from a free kick.
Chelsea put the result beyond doubt on 57 minutes, when Gemma Davison was brought down by Alex Greenwood in the area and Maren Mjelde scored from the resulting penalty.
The other three ties were all postponed and will be played this coming Sunday.
