Only the one match managed to go ahead in the Scottish Building Society Scottish Women's Premier League on Sunday and this did not produce any goals either, Celtic and Spartans battling out a goalless draw in SWPL 1.
Celtic thought they had taken the lead during the first half but Josephine Giard's effort was ruled out for offside. Giard also went close on another occasion as her shot was tipped onto the post by Eartha Cumings in the Spartans goal.
Spartans came into the game a lot more after the break and had the better of things in the second half, but could not make a breakthrough as the game drifted into a draw.
A win would have taken Celtic to the top of the table but remain in third place, still sporting an unbeaten record. Spartans meanwhile registered their first point of the season, and the result lifts them off the bottom.
