Holders edge into last four
 Women's Football Scottish WPL News - 29 Mar 2018
Hibernian booked their place in the semi finals of the Scottish Building Society Scottish Women's Premier League Cup with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Rangers.
Both sides exchanged chances in an open first half but the decisive moment of the match came just before the hour, when a short corner led to Emma Brownlie crossing for Lucy Graham to head home the only goal.
Meanwhile, a penalty from Leanne Ross and second half goals by Kirsty Howat and Joanne Paton ensured a 3-0 win for Glasgow City over Spartans and safe progression into the semi finals once more.
Celtic swept into the last four on the back of a 3-0 success away to Hamilton Academical. Josephine Giard opened the scoring seven minutes before half time and on the hour, the striker did it again as she doubled her side's lead. Rachel Donaldson crowned the win with a powerful strike for the third goal late on.
Forfar Farmington complete the line up as they defeated Stirling University 2-0 to reach their second major semi final in successive seasons. Both of Forfar's goals came during the seven minute period leading up to half time, Kayleigh Brough putting them in front and Cassie Cowper adding the second goal.
The draw for the semi finals has been made and there could yet be a repeat meeting of last year's Final in the offing as Hibernian and Glasgow City have been paired with each other in a repeat of the last season's semi final.
Both ties will be played at the Falkirk Stadium on Sunday 29th April, with the aforementioned meeting between Hibs and Glasgow City kicking off at 12pm, followed by the second semi final between last season's runners-up Celtic and Forfar Farmington, which starts at 3.30pm.
The two successful teams will then meet, again at the Falkirk Stadium, for the Final on Sunday 20th May, currently scheduled for a 2pm kick off.
