Whilst the League Cup Final was taking most of the headlines on Sunday, Swansea City kept their Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League title hopes alive with a 5-0 victory over Rhyl Ladies.
Katie Davies and Jodie Passmore ensured that the Swans were two goals ahead at the break and in the second half, Stacey John-Davis and Passmore put them firmly in control before Emily Richards completed the scoring late on. Swansea now trail Cardiff Met Ladies by eight points and have a game in hand over the leaders.
Port Talbot Town meanwhile claimed their third successive victory, 6-1 away to Caldicot Town. The in-form side were actually trailing at half time, Kelly Phelps having put Caldicot ahead, but after Laura May Walkley had equalised early in the second half, Port Talbot never looked back. Terri Beddows, Thomas and Jesci Hare all scored in quick succession before Thomas netted her second and Coryn Sexton added the final goal late on.
