Whilst the main attention was focused on the FAW Women's Cup Final on Sunday, Cardiff Met Ladies were busy taking themselves to within one victory of winning back the Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League title by scoring twelve times without reply past Caernarfon Town. Kitty Wells netted twice inside the opening fifteen minutes and Met went on to add further goals before half time through Lucy Brown, Lauren Townsend and Steph Turner. Naomi Clipston and Tija Richardson extended their lead inside the opening ten minutes of the second half and Stacey Ayling contributed a brace, either side of Jasmine Simpson hitting a hat-trick. Cyncoed Ladies kept themselves firmly in the running for second place as they ran out 3-1 winners away to Caldicot Town. Caldicot had won the previous meeting between the sides earlier in the season and they went ahead again on this occasion through Kelly Phelps during the first half, but after the break, Kirstie Pervin-Davies brought the Mighty Oaks level and they went on to seal the points thanks to a brace from Grace Horrell. Port Talbot Town completed their home fixtures for the campaign in style as they defeated Rhyl Ladies 5-0. Laura May Walkley opened the scoring with two minutes on the clock and Coryn Sexton doubled the lead, before Walkley netted her second on the half hour. Rhyl goalkeeper Sam Mitchell saved a penalty from Terri Beddows just before half time but Port Talbot went on to crown their victory after the break when Courtney Thomas and Beddows added further goals.
