Motherwell have opened up a lead of two points in SWPL 2 after scoring six times without reply past St Johnstone.
The teams had started the day level on points but a Suzanne Mulvey hat-trick, together with Hayley Cunningham and two own goals, gave Motherwell an impressive victory.
Hearts are up into second place following their 4-1 victory over Aberdeen. Pamela Liddell was on target twice along with Lauren Hall and Stacey Hutchinson adding the others, Aberdeen's consolation coming from Megan Reid.
FC Kilmarnock battled out a 2-2 draw with Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale and this keeps them in the top three. All of the goals came in the first half, Lauren Sloan gave Kilmarnock an early lead and after Anna Hume and Beth MacLeod had put EUHV ahead, Colette Fleming ensured that Kilmarnock went home with a point under their belts.
Glasgow Girls lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a 3-2 win over Central Girls Academy. Lauren Evans netted twice and Katie Hay the other to give Glasgow their second victory in three matches, with Central replying through a double from Morgan Cross.
