Glasgow City have returned to the top of the SWPL 1 table with a 1-0 victory over Forfar Farmington.
Christie Murray scored the only goal of the game when she capitalised on a defensive mix-up but Forfar almost snatched a point late on when Danni McGinley hit the post.
Celtic had started the day as leaders but are back in third place after going down to their first defeat of the season, beaten 3-1 by Hibernian who re-enter the top two. Rachel McLauchlan put Hibs ahead midway through the first half and the midfielder added a second with a fine solo effort, shortly after half time. Nicole Pullar pulled a goal back for Celtic five minutes later but Hibs were to wrap up the points late on when Abigail Harrison fired home following a corner.
Rangers moved themselves to within two points of third placed Celtic after running out 4-0 winners away to Hamilton Academical. Clare Gemmell put them in front via a free kick and Sarah Robertson curled home the second goal on the hour mark. Gemmell completed her double with ten minutes remaining, before Brogan Hay rounded off the scoring.
Spartans are now three games unbeaten after sharing a 1-1 draw with Stirling University. Katy Morris headed Stirling in front during the first half, with Spartans hitting back after the break and earning themselves a share of the spoils when Simone McMahon scored direct from a corner.
