Leicester City Women have had a good few days and they have closed the gap on Northern Division Middlesbrough to two points.
On Sunday they halted the recent revival of Guiseley Vixens by beating them 4-0, Leigh Dugmore and Rosie Axten scoring two goals apiece.
Three days later, they made it three wins on the trot when defeating West Bromwich Albion 3-2. Sophie Domingo, Moriah McIntosh and Rosie Axten were all on target for Leicester, with Albion replying through Leanne Mitchell and Laura Davies.
Blackburn Rovers still have matters firmly in their hands, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers. Andrea Whetton put Wolves ahead just after the quarter hour, with Lynda Shepherd equalising early in the second half.
Fylde Ladies are now looking on course for a top half finish when they won 4-3 away to Nottingham Forest. Sophie Charlton, Leah Foster, Laura Merrin and Olivia Wilkes were all on target for Fylde, with Forest's replies coming from Leanne Robinson, Kelly Darby and Hazzana Parnell.
Bradford City meanwhile returned to winning ways with a 4-2 success against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Hannah Campbell led the scoring with a hat-trick and Laura Elford added the other, Albion finding the net through Laura Davies and Hannah George.
