Blackburn Rovers have hit top spot in the Northern Division after they repeated their Premier League Cup Final victory over Leicester City Women, this time winning 3-2.
Leicester led 2-1 at the break thanks to Rosie Axten and Leigh Dugmore but after Saffron Jordan had levelled the scores after the break, Natasha Flint scored her second goal of the day to see Blackburn regain the leadership for the first time since the opening stages of the season and they require five points from their final four games to retain the title.
Stoke City can still mathematically finish in second place, which they kept alive with a 3-1 victory against Fylde Ladies. Ashleigh Hayes gave Stoke an early lead, with Danielle Young equalising on the half hour, but after Hannah Keryakoplis had put Stoke back in front on the stroke of half time, they went on to secure the points when Beth Roberts netted the third, nine minutes from time.
Wolverhampton Wanderers will take their revival to the last game of the season, after they defeated Derby County 2-1. Wolves led at the break through an Anna Price goal and after Andi Bell had levelled the scores ten minutes into the second half, Jen Anslow netted a late winner to further boost her side's chances of climbing out of the bottom two.
Guiseley Vixens are also putting up a good fight and kept their hopes alive by winning 6-0 against Nottingham Forest. After Emily Heckler had given Guiseley a tenth minute lead, Nikki Berko enjoyed a great day in front of goal by hitting a first half hat-trick and going on to find the net five times in total.
