Glasgow City got their UEFA Women's Champions League qualification hopes back on track by running out 7-0 winners over FC Martve.
Kirsty Howat led the scoring with a hat-trick - her first for the club - whilst Abbi Grant added a brace as City overwhelmed their Georgian opponents. Joanne Love also got on the scoresheet and Jenna Clark netted her first goal since her recent move from Rangers.
Glasgow City now face Polish Champions and group leaders Gornik Leczna in their final match on Monday (4pm) at The Oriam, needing to win that match to keep alive any hopes of progressing to the last 32.
Linfield went into their second group match facing a tough task against Ajax Amsterdam but acquitted themselves well, going down to a narrow 2-0 defeat. Iina Salmi gave Ajax the lead just before the half hour and Vanity Lewerissa added the second goal, three minutes into the second half. Kirsty McGuinness missed a penalty with twenty minutes remaining as Linfield tried to get back into the game and they will now be looking to finish off on a winning note as they take on Wexford Youths in their final game.
Cardiff Met Women also saw their hopes of progressing come to an end as they went down 5-2 to their Ukranian group hosts Kharkiv. Yuliia Shevchuk and Olha Ovdiychuk put Kharkiv two ahead inside the opening ten minutes and after Jessica Westhoff pulled one back for Met, Iryna Kochnyeva restored the two-goal advantage ahead of half time. An own goal increased Kharkiv's lead on the hour and although Erin Murray restored Met's hopes with fourteen minutes remaining, Daryna Apanaschenko rounded off the scoring for the Ukranian side late on.
