Glasgow City have returned to the top of the SBSSWPL 1 table on goal difference following their 6-0 victory over Forfar Farmington.
Samantha Kerr gave City an early lead which they took into the break and a quickfire double from Joanne Love put her side into a commanding position. Kirsty Howat extended their lead just before the hour and they went on to crown the win with further strikes from Nicola Docherty and a Leanne Ross penalty.
Hibernian are back in second place despite a 2-0 success away to Spartans. Abi Harrison opened the scoring for Hibs during the first half, with Emma Brownlie adding the second after the break.
Celtic got back to winning ways with a 4-1 triumph against Hamilton Academical. Lori Gardiner gave Hamilton an early lead but in the second half, an unfortunate own goal brought Celtic back on level terms before Rachel Donaldson and a Chloe Craig double made sure of the three points.
Stirling University meanwhile picked up a valuable 3-2 victory away to Rangers. Lauren Doran-Barr's early strike for Stirling was cancelled out by Chantelle Brown but Demi Falconer ensured that the visitors were back in front by half time. Nicole Pullar levelled the scores once again early in the second half but Stirling were to take the lead for a third and decisive time, Kendra Bosnall breaking through to score.
