Chester-le-Street Town held onto the leadership of the division despite not having a game on Sunday.
They still head the table on goal difference with Brighouse Town in second place after their 5-3 victory over Norton & Stockton Ancients. Charlotte Proud was on target twice for Brighouse along with Annabelle Cass, Aimi Beresford and Lindsey Tugby whilst Norton responded through an Anna Mawston brace and Nyci Thorns.
Chorley made it two wins on the trot with a 2-1 success away to Newcastle Utd. Lisa Topping and Chloe Wild netted the goals for Chorley, with Newcastle's consolation coming from Megan McKenzie.
Bolton Wanderers repeated their League Cup win over Barnsley seven days earlier by beating them 1-0 to join the teams at the top on six points. Nicola Worthington settled matters with the only goal of the game, eleven minutes from time.
Burnley FC Women recorded their first victory in the National League, a fine 3-0 success away to Liverpool Feds. Sarah Greenhalgh and Evie Priestley put Burnley two ahead at half time, before Greenhalgh netted her second goal midway through the second half.
Morecambe meanwhile notched up their first points of the new campaign when beating Crewe Alexandra 5-2. Natalie Broad, Melissa Brown, Carmel Daniel, Rachel Warren and Becky Whittingham all netted a goal apiece, with Laura Garner and Amanda Fallon.
