The Reserve Section League Cup has got underway for another season with the First Round ties being played on Sunday. Beth McIlvenny hit a hat-trick with Savanna Robson (2), Lauren Farrow, Eve Gatens and Yasmine Hardy as Middlesbrough ran out 8-1 winners away to Burnley FC Women and Huddersfield Town went one better against Long Eaton Utd, scoring nine times without reply. Lucy Sowerby scored a hat-trick, Macy Ellis added a brace and there was one apiece from Tara Duce, Abbie Mullen, Ella McCamon and Faye Allen. Six different players got on the scoresheet as Blackburn Rovers won 6-1 at Loughborough Foxes, they were Carra Jones, Ria Montgomery, Isabel Pacitto, Courtney Turner, Katie King and Ebony Stinson. Guiseley Vixens progressed to the next round by beating Barnsley 4-1, courtesy of Ellie Casper (2), Milly Ash and Iona Bennett. West Bromwich Albion narrowly got past Coventry Utd on a penalty shootout following a 3-3 draw, whilst Leicester City had a far smoother passage, winning 9-1 against Crewe Alexandra. Jade Benford was on target four times, Shannon Henson weighed in with a hat-trick and Freya Thomas added the other two. Ipswich Town won the East Anglian derby 6-1 against Norwich City, Paige Wakefield scoring a hat-trick along with Victoria Campbell (2) and Florence Cage, and Therese Addison was another hat-trick scorer for Tottenham Hotspur in their 5-0 victory over Millwall Lionesses, Ronnell Humes and Lauren George joining her on the scoresheet. Jemma Brittain netted the only goal of the game as Milton Keynes Dons won 1-0 against Cambridge Utd. Alex Collighan was on target five times for Chichester City in their win over Poole Town, Gemma White adding two along with Lauren Clark, Lucy Cook, Cherelle Khassel and Loulou Robson.
 
In Northern Division One, Sheffield Utd went top of the table after beating Durham Women 6-1. Rachel Bell netted four times as Newcastle Utd won 7-1 at Hull City, Amy Hargrave adding a double with Jayden Maxwell also on target.
 
Charlton Athletic have opened up a lead of three points in the South/South East Division following their 4-0 victory over Gillingham. Ellie Jeffkins, Shamoy Campbell, Melanie Parreno Espinosa and Niamh Andersson all scored for the Addicks.
 
AFC Wimbledon are the new leaders of the South/South West Division after Giulia Ciavarini, Madison Parsons and an own goal gave them a 3-1 win against Queen's Park Rangers. Crystal Palace are in second place following their 3-1 victory over Lewes with strikes from Jade Davenport, Charmaine True and Hannah Corlett. Southampton Women and Denham Utd meanwhile each picked up their first point of the season when battling out a goalless draw.
