With Watford not having a game on Sunday, Coventry Utd took the opportunity to replace them as Southern Premier Division leaders when beating C & K Basildon 4-1.
Jade Brook kept up her good form in front of goal by scoring twice, with one apiece from Amber Hughes and Amy Wathan.
Chichester City are one point off the pace after winning 1-0 away to Loughborough Foxes. Molly Clark settled matters in Chi's favour with the only goal of the game.
Plymouth Argyle maintained their promising start to the season with their fourth victory in five matches, 3-2 at Queen's Park Rangers. However, Argyle had to withstand a valiant fightback from the home side after a Helen Bleazard brace had given them a two-goal lead during the first half. Rangers battled back after the break with strikes from Whitney Locke and Roschelle Shakes getting them back on level terms and they looked on course to double their points tally for the campaign until seven minutes from time, when Zoe Cunningham popped up with the winning goal for Plymouth.
Milton Keynes Dons meanwhile picked up their second league win of the season, a second half goal from Kim Farrow earning them a 1-0 success against Gillingham.
