With Burnley FC Women not having a game, Brighouse Town went back to the top of Division One North with a 3-1 victory over Newcastle Utd.
Charlotte Proud netted twice and Lauren Doyle the other for Brighouse, with Newcastle's reply coming from Jayden Maxwell.
Chester-le-Street Town replaced Chorley in third place after beating them 3-2. Chorley led at half time through a goal from Katy Morris and after Nichole Havery had levelled matters in the opening minute of the second half, Megan Searson put the Lancashire side back in front. Havery netted her second to bring the scores back to parity again and with ten minutes remaining, Elizabeth Thompson-Clarke scored a decisive third for the Cestrians.
Liverpool Feds meanwhile made it two wins on the trot, scoring five times without reply past Bolton Wanderers. Amy Seagraves, Jennifer Rogers and Demi Devereaux all scored to put the Feds three ahead inside the opening six minutes and they win on to seal the victory with further strikes late on from Carla Lee and Rogers, who completed her double.
Leeds Utd are another team to move back into the top half, courtesy of a 4-1 win away to Morecambe. Hannah Campbell netted a second half brace to add to earlier strikes from Danielle Whitham and Emily Cassidy, whilst Morecambe's consolation was scored by Jess Tait.
Norton & Stockton Ancients moved back out of the bottom three by beating Crewe Alexandra 3-1. Bianca Owens netted twice and Victoria Burton the other for Norton whilst Crewe, who suffered the agony of another narrow defeat, replied through Amanda Fallon.
