Blackburn Rovers have gone three points clear at the top of the Northern Premier Division after scoring seven times without reply past Nottingham Forest.
Lagan Makin and Ellie Stewart gave Rovers a two-goal lead going into half time and after the break, they scored three times in the opening five minutes through Makin, Saffron Jordan and Jess Holbrook. Natasha Fenton got on the scoresheet with twenty minutes remaining and Jordan rounded off the scoring with her second goal late on.
Stoke City put an end to a four match run of defeats in the league with a 4-1 victory over Middlesbrough. An own goal put Stoke ahead in first half injury time, with 'Boro hitting back early in the second half to equalise through Emily Scarr. Hannah Keryakoplis restored Stoke's lead on the hour and they went on to seal the points with further goals from Amy Hughes and Cassie Hyde.
Guiseley Vixens made it two wins in a row with a 2-1 success away to Sheffield FC. The home side took a first half lead through Ellie White, with Alarna Fuller levelling the scores four minutes before half time. Substitute Ellie Casper grabbed a late winner for Guiseley who are now in seventh place.
Hull City were 3-1 winners at Bradford City, who went down to a ninth straight defeat. Rachael Ackroyd, Hope Knight and Amy Kay were all on target for Hull, with Bradford's consolation coming from Jessica Dunlop.
