Andy Spence has left his role as Head Coach of Everton Ladies.
He has been with the club for over ten years, initially as a coach and assistant manager to Mo Marley before taking over as Head Coach in 2013. He led them to the FA Women's Cup Final the following year, where they were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal, but the loss of several key players proved to be too big an obstacle and they were relegated from WSL 1 the same year.
After initially stepping down from the role for a year, he returned to help guide the club back to top flight status but his last match in charge was their 1-0 defeat to Yeovil Town on Sunday.
A permanent appointment will be made as soon as possible and, in the interim, goalkeeping coach Jennifer Herst will take temporary charge.
