Wolves halve deficit

Wolverhampton Wanderers have narrowed the gap on leaders West Bromwich Albion to three points with a 7-0 victory over Long Eaton Utd.
Jade Cross put them ahead in the opening minute with what turned out to be the only goal of the first half. Anna Morphet made it two from the penalty spot, early in the second half, Chloe Williams netted the third and Billie Haynes added a brace in quick succession. Cross then netted her second and Charlotte Criddle rounded off the scoring with seven minutes remaining.
Birmingham & West Midlands Ladies lifted themselves up to fourth by running out 4-0 winners away to Nettleham. Maimee Morris, Emily Painter and Steph Weston ensured that they were three goals up at half time, with Evangeline Gallop adding the fourth after the break.
