The FA has announced this week that Bramall Lane, the home of Sheffield United FC, will host the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup Final on Saturday 23rd February 2019.
The final will kick off at 12.15pm and be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 and 4k UHD.
The announcement was made ahead of the FA Women's Continental League Cup quarter final draw, which was made live on the FA WSL Instagram channel on Tuesday.
It will be the second time that Bramall Lane has been used for a major match in this country in a matter of months, having hosted the FA Women's Premier League Championship Play-off Final back in May, when Charlton Athletic beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1. The stadium has also been named as one of the prospective venues when England will host the Euro 2021 Finals.
Early bird tickets for the final go on sale on Friday 11th January, priced at £7.50 for an adult and £1 concession. Tickets will be on sale at www.thefa.com/tickets.
The last match in the group stages of this season's competition was played on Sunday and resulted in a 3-1 win for Everton against Liverpool.
The match had been scheduled for a couple of weeks earlier but was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Everton appeared determined to make up for lost time when the game started and they took the lead with two minutes on the clock through Chanye Boye-Hlorkah. Simone Magill made it two shortly afterwards and after Niamh Fahey had pulled a goal back for the Reds, Everton replied almost instantly with Elise Hughes restoring their two-goal advantage and there was no more scoring for the remainder of the game. The result meant that Reading FC Women progressed to the quarter finals from Group Two North, behind group winners Manchester Utd.
The draw for the quarter finals of this season's FA Women's Continental League Cup has been made. The draw was made live from St. George's Park on the FA WSL Instagram page by England international Rachel Daly.
The four group winners were all guaranteed home ties in the draw and the standout quarter final sees holders Arsenal, winners of the competition on five occasions, paired with Birmingham City. The ties are due to be played on 9/10 January 2019.
The quarter final draw:
Manchester United v West Ham United
Chelsea v Reading FC Women
Manchester City v Brighton & Hove Albion
Arsenal v Birmingham City
