Liverpool FC Women have completed the signing of Jemma Purfield, subject to international clearance.
Purfield, 21, joins Liverpool after graduating from Arizona State University. The versatile wide player will take the number 23 shirt for the Reds.
Liverpool FC Women manager Vicky Jepson said: "I'm excited to have Jemma as part of our squad here at Liverpool FC Women. She will add to the depth of our player roster.
"She's got international experience already and has youth very much on her side. She's been training with us recently and has fitted in brilliantly with the rest of our squad.
"I'm excited to work with her and see what she can bring to the Liverpool FC Women family. Her international call-ups mean she has played against some of the best teams in the world and now she will have the opportunity to face players of that quality in the Women's Super League.
"It will be good for her development as a player and our development as a team."
Purfield, who can play as an attacking full-back or on the wing, was unveiled on Friday at Anfield. The England Under-23 international said: "I'm delighted and excited to be part of such a prestigious club and can't wait to get started.
"It's a massive club, it's known worldwide and has always had a fantastic reputation so I think it's a big opportunity for me to develop.
"There are some great, experienced players in the squad and there are some youth players coming through the ranks so it's a great place for me to learn and take my career to the next level.
"I think WSL has moved on so much in the last four years and I'm going to be challenged on a daily basis."
She is in line to make her Liverpool debut when they play West Ham Utd in the FA WSL on Monday night at Prenton Park (kick off 7pm).
Liverpool have been further boosted by the news that striker Ashley Hodson has returned to training after eight months out.
The 23-year-old, who came through the club's Centre of Excellence and Development Squad teams, has been sidelined since last May when she suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage following an awkward fall in training.
